About Us
Laura: I am a mother to two gorgeous boys, Caleb and Jaxon. I started using Cheeky Wipes on Jaxon in November 2010, he had a really bad nappy rash that wouldn't heal and I had dematitis on my hands, thought to be from the wipes we were using (extra sensitive new born wipes!) My sister had been using Cheeky Wipes for a couple of years and highly recommended them. I had to try them out. Jaxon's rash healed and my hands cleared up so fast. I have never looked back. When I found out that Cheeky Wipes had closed I jumped at the chance to take on this fantastic product. I truely beleive that using Cheeky Wipes has been one of the best choices I have made for my children's health.
Jenette: as a Mother of three and a grandmother of ten I am a fan of these wipes too! I created a very similar 'wipe' when I had my children because they had eczema and allergies to aloe vera and other additives in the disposable wipes. I beleive that natural is best for baby and for the environment. I used cloth nappies for my children and have tried to encourage them to do the same for their babies, the same with wipes, they have to be better as you can warm them up on cold days and cool them off when it is hot. You always know they are clean and the best thing is that they are reusable so to me it means 'saving'! My passion in life is to sew and knit and to take care of my many beautiful grand children.
About Cheeky Wipes Ltd
Cheeky Wipes is a small business run by Laura and Jenette. Like all of Cheeky Wipes customers Laura was a big fan before taking over the business. It was after one of the Christchurch earthquakes she came online to buy a pail for her friend and saw that Sara, the previous owner, had closed due to damage. Curiosity got the better of her and she contacted Sara. It all went from there.
Cheeky Wipes History
Sara Templeton started Cheeky Wipes back in 2005 after having her first child, Caitlin, and not being able to find any chemical free, eco-friendly wipes. Her mum suggested making some, after all that is what everyone having babies before the 80's had done. Edged in yellow the first Cheeky Wipes where made. Friends of Sara's having trouble with nappy rash asked what she was using and surprised to hear it was the old fashioned cloth wipe and Caitlin had not had any problems with rashes. So Sara offered to make them some... and Cheeky Wipes grew from there.
