CHEEKY WIPES From Day One

A better way to clean your baby’s bum; better for the planet, better for your budget and most importantly better for your child.

CHEEKY WIPES Is Enviro Friendly

Simple, it is better for the environment as cotton and tea tree oil are 100% biodegradable.

CHEEKY WIPES are able to be composted so after you’re done using them as rags you can throw them in your compost. *For effective composting, the outside stitching needs to be removed first.

CHEEKY WIPES Are Cost Effective

You only have to purchase Cheeky Wipes once - that’s a one off cost for the rest of your baby’s bum wiping days!

A simple visit to local supermarket, who had a range of wipes for sale from $3.99 through to $9.99 for a packet of 80, offered an average cost of $5.80 (22 January 2012). Based on this if you were to purchase a packet a week, this would cost you over $750 over 2 ½ years (the average ‘nappy’ time of a child).

CHEEKY WIPES Are Better For Baby

CHEEKY WIPES are 100% cotton-toweling wipes which are soft and effective at wiping baby’s bum clean.

Combined with 100% organic tea tree oil, this gives a tried and true method of protection for baby’s bum. Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) oil is known for antibacterial and antifungal properties, where the antimicrobial activity within the tea tree leaf/oil kills or inhibits the growth of micro-organisms e.g bacteria and fungi.

CHEEKY WIPES In New Zealand

Cotton toweling supply itself is not available within New Zealand so we source our cotton from a reputable company in Christchurch who imports the fabric from China.

We have them cut by a local company and then CHEEKY WIPES sew them up in our sewing room here in Christchurch; supporting as much of the local economy as possible.

CHEEKY WIPES Are Chemical Free

Avoid any chemicals which may be added to disposable wipes. wipes can have a shelf-life of up to 2 years and once the packet is open they can last as long as 12 months; thanks to the preservatives added to the moist wipes. Ingredients such as Parabens (Methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl) often used in common baby wipes, have displayed the ability to slightly mimic estrogen (xenoestrogens can have long term affects with prolonged exposure). The link between parabens and cancer has not been directly proven but correlational evidence exists, enough to be aware of the dangers of over-exposure.

CHEEKY WIPES Are Not...

CHEEKY WIPES are not disposable wipes, all imported wipes into New Zealand incur a travel footprint and the plastic packaging ends up in our landfills, evidently the used wipes clog our undeground infrastructure.

The website of a popular and well known disposable wipe brand states that their disposable wipes "will begin to breakdown over a long period of time", which simply means these wipes are sitting in our landfills and sewer pipes. How many generations will have to deal with the pollution disposable items are contributing towards…

Buy local recyclable or biodegradable items, this way we all win.
